J ENG team

England's preparation for the mens tournament gathered pace this week as they ventured to the beaches of St Jean des Monts on the West Coast of France. The team utilized the skills used in FootVolley and Futnet to improve their aerial ball control. FootVolley especially helped develop the receiving of attacks and sets because the sand does not allow the ball to bounce. "We found that training on the beach has also been good for our fitness and movement". The training camp was a good opportunity for new squad member Michael Nazemi to integrate into the team, and manager Paul Whelan was impressed by his progress. He is a more experienced player who provides more depth to the squad which is looking to improve on previous results.

Paul is analysing his current squad before making the decision on who will make the cut for the under 21 squad and who will be coming to the mens world championship in december. All of the team have greatly improved since their first international outing in Corsica last October and competition for places is high.
